JJC:   We're seeing tumultuous tape action and it may confuse some of you.  The last few weeks in this market, I think, have been some of the most trying I've ever seen in my career.

And, with the Fed meeting tomorrow, people just don't know where to turn. 

I'm here to break all the information down so you can't compete... level playing field... and I play on your side... but yet, I still need to know what's going on in people's minds.  I need to take a temperature of the American pulse, to really get a sense of what people are thinking.

Who is better to find out what that pulse is, than the face of America for more than 25 years?... The living legend, Regis Philbin... 

Who better to remind us that, even if the Fed does absolutely nothing, or only cuts by a quarter point, that the opportunity will be here longer-term...

Jim's comments regarding Regis' portfolio of five stocks:

1.     Time Warner Inc. (TWX)   -  I've got to be very candid about it.  There was a spike up to $23.  It was the time to go.  It's back down so low, I can't tell you to sell it, but cable is losing traction, so I'm concerned it's dead money.  It's dead money!... Sell some of it.

2.     Advanced Micro Devices Inc. (AMD)  -  Oh man!...  Sell, sell, sell, sell, sell!...  The guy who runs it is on my Wall of Shame... He's knocked that stock back down to $9...  Oh, I don't care where you got it...   I care where it's going...  Why didn't you buy Intel Corp. (INTC)?...  It's not too late.  They can't deliver the next chip.  That's the problem.  It can't make the product.  Do you want to be in something that can't make the product?...  Not as long as that guy runs the company... If he leaves, maybe we make a couple (i.e., $2.00 up).
 
3.     JDS Uniphase Corp. (JDSU)   -  Oh... Why do you hurt me?... It's at $14, for heaven's sake!  JDSU stands for 'Just Don't Sue Us'...  Sell, sell, sell, sell, sell... 

4.     LSI Corp (LSI)   -  Okay, I will tell you that that company has a shot at coming back.  I will give that a tepid buy...  Yes, you can wait for LSI.

5.     Unisys Corp. (UIS)   -  UIS?...  This one's house of pain... Yeah, it's a house of pain.

Freeport-McMoRan (FCX*)   -  You're a Freeport 'McMoron' if you sell the stock...  That's gold and copper.  That's what the Chinese want... they want copper.

We've got to diversify... How about a little McDonald's Corp. (MCD*)?  I know, it's moved... it's moved... but it's got great management.

How about CVS Caremark Corp. (CVS*), the great drugstore chain... If you think MCD* is too high, CVS* is okay...

I like Oceaneering International, Inc. (OII).  That's a good one, but how about doing Transocean Inc. (RIG*)?...  Because all oil is in places where we can't find it.  They're the only deep-water driller in the world.  That stock is a winner.   By the way, when we're on oil,
Chevron Corp. (CVX) makes sense...

JJC:   The truth is that stocks are the best long-term investments.  There are going to be some losers in every portfolio.  But winners have far exceeded losers.  I don't want anyone to think for a moment that the stock market's a loser's game.  It's a winner's game...
