RIMM

93.70

95.34

Research In Motion (RIMM)

RIMM -  Here's what I know... I know that this company's growing at 30%.  I know that, right now because of inflation, no one wants to own a high price stock on a multiple basis, even if it's growing at 30%.  I don't care.  All I can know is the fundamentals, and the fundamentals tell me that RIMM is a buy.  We got it right before the last quarter, and I think I'm right on it...

LOW

20.31

20.58

Lowe's (LOW)

LOW -  Let me be very honest... I really like LOW, at $20, but I've got to tell you, they sold every retailer down, like Costco (COST)... COST was down $3.50 today, to $66.  COST is doing better than LOW.  If I have to own a retailer, I have to go with the best, and COST is the best.

Costco Wholesale Corp. (COST)

COST

HOG

39.84

39.82

Harley-Davidson, Inc. (HOG)

HOG -  Stop wondering my friend.  That stock does not work here... sell, sell, sell!...  A discretionary, expensive purchase of a motorcycle that you may not need, no matter how great it is, is not going to cut it in this market.  You cannot buy that stock.

THC

4.26

4.34

Tenet Healthcare Corp. (THC)

THC -  You want to buy some more of that.  That's exactly the kind of stock you want here.  It's a healthcare hospital play.  I see long-term greatness for that company.  I want to buy it right here, at $4 and change...

NEM

54.72

55.49

Newmont Mining Corp. (NEM)

NEM -  I'm going to give you three of them, all right?... #1 is the one that just mentioned and I like NEM, no doubt about it.  The second one I like even more, is Barrick (ABX) - buy, buy, buy! - that is just a screaming buy.  And then, finally, the one that is blessed because it has both growth and gold, is Yamana (AUY), and that's my favorite.  Peter Marrone's a great CEO.  That stock could go to $20, even if gold just stabilizes right here.

ABX

Price target:  $20.00

OCNF

17.81

18.00

Oceanfreight Inc. (OCNF)

OCNF -  No, no...  People don't want to own those stocks.  Ever since we got the heads up from the Diana Shipping (DSX) CEO... that you can't touch these stocks... that was my takeaway... We have been against these stocks.  This one is not working.  There's a big, big decline in what's known as the Baltic Freight Index.  I've got to be very careful with these stocks.  We're not bottoming yet.

SNS

9.48

8.91

Steak n Shake Co. (SNS)

SNS -  Casual dining, other than Sonic (SONC), is just so bad...  I mean, have you looked at the Darden (DRI)?  Boy, were we right to stay away from that...Morton's (MRT) was terrible...   Brinker's (EAT) was awful... No, we're not going to pull the trigger (buzzer sounds)... no way.

MOS

99.21

102.45

Mosaic (MOS)

MOS -  MOS has been - without a doubt - along with Agrium (AGU), along with Deere (DE), along with Monsanto (MON), along with Bunge (BG)... our absolute Fab Five... I think MOS blows through $100, and goes to $110.  That is just a must-own.  It dipped last week, off of a bogus call.  It is so good, I want to buy it right here, right now.

Price target:  $110.00

FARO

22.21

22.39

FARO Technologies Inc. (FARO)

FARO -  Too hard man.  Measurement test equipment.  It's just getting smoked...  I've got so many high-quality stocks, like an Intel (INTC), that are down so much, why do I need to mess with FARO?

INTC

21.99

22.89

Intel Corp. (INTC)

See FARO comments above for:
INTC

CVD

95.92

96.39

Covance Inc. (CVD)

CVD -  Oh man, this is medical testing and devices.  This is unbelievable.  This is a company that checks whether drug stocks are working or not.  That's exactly what we need, along with Bard (BCR), along with Becton Dickinson (BDX)... These are unbelievable companies... along with Baxter (BAX)... I think you're in great company.  That's one I want to buy... buy, buy, buy!... that's one I want to stick with.

BCR

A Charitable Trust stock. - An asterisk next to a stock symbol indicates that Jim mentioned it is a stock that he manages within
his charitable trust portfolio.  You can see the complete portfolio
of stocks here >>

Thumbs up - indicates he would buy the stock or, at the very least, not sell the stock.  We do our best to interpret Jim's opinion on stocks, as we think it is indicated by his comments during the show.  Please read his comments to decide for yourself.

Thumbs down - indicates he has said not to buy or to sell the stock, based on his comments  We do our best to interpret Jim's opinion on stocks, as we think it is indicated by his comments during the show.  Please read his comments to decide for yourself.

Back up the truck - indicated by Jim, when he says the stock is so good, that he would do a 'mon-back' on the stock... In other words, this is the sound someone would say to a truck driver, "Come on back... " as he is "backing up the truck" to load up on his cargo.  Translation for buying stocks:  This recommendation by Jim indicates that, after you do your own homework on the stock, you should feel comfortable loading up on it, as it is in a good position to be bought at this point.

Stumped. - Of the 2,000+ stocks that Jim Cramer has in his head, for which he has an informed opinion, he sometimes comes across a caller with a stock he does not know well enough to opine on...  He then indicates he is stumped and will have to come back to it, after he does some homework of his own on the stock.  This usually occurs during the Lightning Round, when Jim does not know in advance who is calling, or what their stock question is about.

Definitions of key phrases used by Jim, known as "Cramerisms":

Definition:   'Pull the trigger' is Jim's phrase for making the decision at that point to trade - either to 'buy' or to 'sell' (although he usually uses the phrase for buying), as if to say you should feel comfortable enough to make the final decision without looking back...

Definition:   'Ring the Register' is Jim's phrase for selling a stock, and making it a final sale, that you should not look back on.  Put it behind you.

Definition:  'Let It Come In' indicates how you may wait for it to pull back, or have the stock price come down briefly, as your chance (after letting it come in) to buy the rest of your position (i.e., total number of shares you own in that stock).

Definition:  'backing it up' or 'doing a 'mon-back' is Jim's phrase for the metaphor of backing up a truck to load up on a stock by buying it.  'Mon-back is short for the imaginary worker saying, 'Come on back...' as the truck is backing up to receive its load... Notice that we use the little truck icon to indicate where Jim has mentioned this.  Translation for buying stocks:  This recommendation by Jim indicates that, after you do your own homework on the stock, you should feel comfortable loading up on it, as it is in a good position to be bought at this point.
