SIRI |

na |
Sirius Satellite Radio
Inc. (SIRI)
SIRI - This is now 67
days and 1 year that they have
not approved this. I mean,
now they're starting to talk
about... It's pretty clear
they want to stop this deal...
I am telling you this deal is
going to go through. I still
think, that when it goes
through, you've got a $5
stock... But we must keep
writing the FCC! We can't
let them off the hook! We
can't let them be just
completely... I'm trying not to
say, in bed... I'm trying not to
say, in the pocket of... I'm
trying not to say, owned by
terrestrial radio... So
I've eliminated all those
possibilities, and let's just
say that I think the FCC's
behavior raises eyebrows...
Price target if the deal is
approved: $5.00

General question about the oil
refiners
JJC: No, no, no,
no, no... If we want oil
refiners, we're going to join
them either with
ConocoPhillips (COP*),
or with
Occidental Petroleum Corp.
(OXY),
or maybe with
Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO).
I even like Hess Corporation
(HES)
more. I think that
refining margins are going to
stay bad. Everyone thinks
they've got to be making money,
if we're paying $4 bucks for
oil...
ix-nay... No! Not true.
Integrated oils are the thing...
integrated oils...

AEM |
62.35 |
na |
Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. (AEM)
AEM - All right,
look... I think, and I'm
going to stand right now... Gold
has come down huge... I have
bought gold, and bought gold,
and bought gold... Why?
Because this is your chance to
buy gold. The stocks are
down much more than the
commodity. The commodity's
down 10%. The stocks are
down as much as 35%. Yes,
I have been buying
Yamana Gold Inc.
(AUY*).
I made a stand, and have been
buying a ton of AUY* right here.
Bought it higher, but bought it
here. I like AEM too.
You need gold. People
should have a gold stock in
their portfolio... You shouldn't
buy it when it's running.
You should buy it when it's
collapsing. It's been
collapsing... I want to
buy... buy, buy, buy... gold!

Energy Conversion Devices (ENER)
ENER - You are barking
up the wrong solar play! I
am recommending
First Solar, (FSLR)
and, if a democrat gets into the
White House... the first call
they're going to make is to
FSLR, and say, enough ethanol!
No, they actually like ethanol a
whole lot too... But I think
there's room for FSLR in the
pastiche... of energy
conservation and anti-fossil
fuel.

FRZ |

Reddy Ice Holdings, Inc.

FRZ - You know, we
were going to recommend FRZ, and
the stock turned out to be a
real bad one... Let me go
back... I know it's losing
money... I want to do a
little touch up on FRZ.
We'll come back to that next
week...

ING |

na |
ING Groep NV (ING)
ING - No, I mean it's
a decent bank, no doubt about
it... but I'm not a buyer of
that. I like
Hudson City Bancorp (HCBK)
today, a 52-week high... What
bank stock is hitting a 52-week
high?... We've been riding
this one for more than a year.
Every other bank stock we follow
is down huge, other than
People's United Financial
Inc. (PBCT),
and this one's up. Let's
not even out-think it.
That one's our play.

Sirtris
Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (SIRT)
SIRT - No, no...
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)
bought them, so you've got to
ring the register. This is
a company that makes the
ingredient that's like the red
wine ingredient that's supposed
to give you a longer life...

 |
TSFG |
7.10 |
na |
South Financial Group Inc.
(TSFG)
TSFG - Oh man... you
cut me to the quick... This is
another stinker-roony McFaddy
financial... No, no, and
then I'm going to throw in
another no... and, just to be
clear... I'm saying, No! I
want you in
Hudson City Bancorp (HCBK),
even up here at $19. I'll
give you the
Goldman Sachs (GS*)
for a little lift... and, yes, I
still like
JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM)
if you want a little value in
banks, and that's it.

CXW |

Corrections Corp. of
America (CXW)
CXW - Just because it
is in the prison business
doesn't necessarily mean it can
execute well. I am worried
about that stock... Don't buy,
dont' buy... This is an
execution issue... I think that
have to be very careful with
this stock. It has had a
spotty record, and I don't want
to be involved... I've
seen them be inconsistent...
(buzzer sounds)... and it's a
good trend, but it's not one
worth playing, so to speak.
|
|
 |
URBN |
33.62 |
na |
Urban Outfitters (URBN)
URBN - I don't care
(about the CEO has sold shares
recently)... I mean, he's been
with the company a long time.
I'm not worried. He's got
a great eye... I was at the
Urban Outfitters that just
opened in Brooklyn on Wednesday.
It's just a dynamite look.
I call it "cheap chic"... that's
right, "cheap chic"...
URBN and
TJX (TJX),
Wal-Mart (WMT)
and
Costco (COST).
Those are my four retailers.
I'm not going away from them.
Those are the ones you want to
be in. Just like I've got
three banks, I've got four
retailers and, the rest of them?
Sold to you...

MSFT - Disappointed,
disappointed... I've got to tell
you, the PC business is not so
hot... And, yes, Steve (Ballmer,
CEO), hold your ears... sell
MSFT and move into
Apple (AAPL)!
I said it. I'm
ex-communicated from the State
of Washington (i.e., where
Microsoft is headquartered)...
and, you know what? It's
not about friends... It's
about... money!

 |
Back up the truck -
indicated by Jim, when he
says the stock is so good,
that he would do a
'mon-back' on the stock...
In other words, this is the
sound someone would say to a
truck driver, "Come on
back... " as he is "backing
up the truck" to load up on
his cargo. Translation
for buying stocks:
This recommendation by Jim
indicates that, after you do
your own
homework on the stock,
you should feel comfortable
loading up on it, as it is
in a good position to be
bought at this point. |
|
 |
Stumped. - Of the
2,000+ stocks that Jim
Cramer has in his head, for
which he has an informed
opinion, he sometimes comes
across a caller with a stock
he does not know well enough
to opine on... He then
indicates he is stumped and
will have to come back to
it, after he does some
homework of his own on
the stock. This
usually occurs during the
Lightning Round, when Jim
does not know in advance who
is calling, or what their
stock question is about. |

Definitions of key phrases
used by Jim, known as
"Cramerisms": |
|
 |
Definition: 'Pull the
trigger' is Jim's phrase for making
the decision at that point to trade -
either to 'buy' or
to 'sell' (although he
usually uses the phrase for
buying), as if to say you
should feel comfortable
enough to make the final
decision without looking
back... |
|
 |
Definition: 'Ring
the Register' is Jim's phrase for
selling a stock, and making
it a final sale, that you
should not look back on.
Put it behind you. |
|
 |
Definition: 'Let It Come In' indicates how you
may wait for it to pull back, or have the
stock price come down briefly, as your
chance (after letting it come in) to buy
the rest of your position (i.e., total
number of shares you own in that stock). |
|
 |
Definition: 'backing it up'
or 'doing a 'mon-back' is Jim's
phrase for the metaphor of backing up a
truck to load up on a stock by buying
it. 'Mon-back is short for the
imaginary worker saying, 'Come on
back...' as the truck is backing up to
receive its load... Notice that we use
the little truck icon to indicate where
Jim has mentioned this.
Translation for buying
stocks: This
recommendation by Jim
indicates that, after you do
your own
homework on the stock,
you should feel comfortable
loading up on it, as it is
in a good position to be
bought at this point. |
