TUP |

34.01 |
Tupperware Brands Corporation
(TUP)
TUP - I am shocked
that TUP is down as much as it
is. This company has
consistently beat estimates.
It is a great international
company. I guess people
are so worried about the raw
cost of the product.
Let's bring the CEO back on...
Goings... He's terrific. I
want to buy TUP. I think
it's right. Rick Goings...
we should give him a call.
He's a stand-up guy.

SBUX |
16.28 |
16.30 |
Starbucks Corp.
(SBUX)
SBUX - All right, what
I've been saying on SBUX is that
the turn is going to take 18
months... Now, it's 17 months,
because we've had a full
month... and, until that
happens, you cannot touch this
stock... Unless you've got an
18-month perspective, SBUX is a
don't buy, don't buy, dont'
buy... We liked it in the
$30s. We went neutral on
it when it went to $17 and
decided that, when (CEO) Schultz
came back, he will turn it
around... But there's no
quick fix to SBUX.

WRES |
14.18 |
14.33 |
Warren Resources Inc. (WRES)
WRES - Really good
man... just a great... That's a
wildcatter that we like.
You've got a winner and you've
got horse sense. Do not be
dissuaded by all these people
that come on all these different
TV stations and say that the oil
and gas play is over. As
long as China is growing, it's
still on. We (the U.S.)
are not the important player in
that group. I like your
stock.

 |
PENN |
33.99 |
33.83 |
Penn National Gaming (PENN)
PENN - That's a very
discouraging way to start (for
the caller who is a new
investor)... Let's start
buying things we know, we like,
we feel good about...
PENN, I know, I don't like, I
feel bad about... Let's
take that money - sell, sell,
sell! - and invest it in some of
the things that we talk about.
And one of them is not gambling.
We got out of
International Game Technology
(IGT).
That was the last of our
gambling stocks. We've
been recommending sale of WYNN.
You know we've been recommending
sale of
Las Vegas Sands (LVS).
And I'm reiterating all my
gambling sales (recommendations
to sell) right here.

KFT |
28.83 |
28.83 |
Kraft Foods Inc. (KFT)
KFT - They are
actually doing fairly well,
given the fact that every input
cost is bad. But, you know what,
doing "fairly well" don't cut
it. I've got my guy
Johnson at
Heinz (HNZ)...
That stock's off a buck and a
half. I'm a buyer of that.
I've got my people at
General Mills Inc. (GIS).
That stock just did better than
expected. Why are we
messing with the guys who are
just cutting it, when we've got
guys who are actually winning?
Make the swap!

DRYS |
82.86 |
84.49 |
DryShips, Inc. (DRYS)
DRYS - (caller said he
is riding a roller coaster with
DRYS)...
JJC: I happen to be a
roller coaster fan from way
back, when I was on Cracken,
when my daughter said let's go
again, and I threw up on my
shoes, and that ended that.
I think that DRYS is one of
those where you're going to be
throwing up on your shoes...
(buzzer sounds)... I
recommended...
Frontline Ltd. (FRO),
for heaven's sake! You
know, FRO is the way to go, and
we're not going to vary from
that, except that
Nordic American Tanker (NAT).
I like NAT, but FRO is the play.

HCBK |
17.39 |
17.28 |
Hudson City Bancorp (HCBK)
HCBK - Ron Hermance
(CEO) is my favorite banker in
America. We gave him the
Bailey Building and Loan award.
The stock's at $17, and all I
can tell you is, I am not
recommending a single financial
in the world. I even said
ring the register on HCBK.
Why? I hate the group.
If you have to buy one, I say
don't... but I do like Ron
Hermance and I would stick with
him as a banker.

 |
Back up the truck -
indicated by Jim, when he
says the stock is so good,
that he would do a
'mon-back' on the stock...
In other words, this is the
sound someone would say to a
truck driver, "Come on
back... " as he is "backing
up the truck" to load up on
his cargo. Translation
for buying stocks:
This recommendation by Jim
indicates that, after you do
your own
homework on the stock,
you should feel comfortable
loading up on it, as it is
in a good position to be
bought at this point. |
|
 |
Stumped. - Of the
2,000+ stocks that Jim
Cramer has in his head, for
which he has an informed
opinion, he sometimes comes
across a caller with a stock
he does not know well enough
to opine on... He then
indicates he is stumped and
will have to come back to
it, after he does some
homework of his own on
the stock. This
usually occurs during the
Lightning Round, when Jim
does not know in advance who
is calling, or what their
stock question is about. |

Definitions of key phrases
used by Jim, known as
"Cramerisms": |
|
 |
Definition: 'Pull the
trigger' is Jim's phrase for making
the decision at that point to trade -
either to 'buy' or
to 'sell' (although he
usually uses the phrase for
buying), as if to say you
should feel comfortable
enough to make the final
decision without looking
back... |
|
 |
Definition: 'Ring
the Register' is Jim's phrase for
selling a stock, and making
it a final sale, that you
should not look back on.
Put it behind you. |
|
 |
Definition: 'Let It Come In' indicates how you
may wait for it to pull back, or have the
stock price come down briefly, as your
chance (after letting it come in) to buy
the rest of your position (i.e., total
number of shares you own in that stock). |
|
 |
Definition: 'backing it up'
or 'doing a 'mon-back' is Jim's
phrase for the metaphor of backing up a
truck to load up on a stock by buying
it. 'Mon-back is short for the
imaginary worker saying, 'Come on
back...' as the truck is backing up to
receive its load... Notice that we use
the little truck icon to indicate where
Jim has mentioned this.
Translation for buying
stocks: This
recommendation by Jim
indicates that, after you do
your own
homework on the stock,
you should feel comfortable
loading up on it, as it is
in a good position to be
bought at this point. |
