CNX

93.63

na

CONSOL Energy Inc. (CNX)

CNX - This stock I felt had a panic low bottom today... It might test that low, it was just an unbelievably ugly situation, everybody was jumping out the window... When I see people jumping, you know what I like to do... Buy, buy, buy... It's got a little bit further to climb, to see that test, you got to pull the trigger and buy some.

TWX

14.35

na

Time Warner Inc. (TWX)

TWX - Now, if I want cable, if I want media, media is unbelievable, by the way... You see Gannett (GCI)?... GCI yields almost 18%, I mean 8%... Now those stocks all are starting to rally here... If you want to be part of a rally I suggest you buy Comcast (CMCSA), which is the one that had the best quarter... I like the CMCS "A" kind... Remember, the people at Comcast have made a series of things that Brian Roberts, done some very good things, buying back dividend... That's the one to buy.

CMCSA

NYX

47.36

na

NYSE Euronext, Inc. (NYX)

NYX - Alright, NYX has been one of the worst things I've ever done on the show... In the mid $60s I just totally admitted defeat... I lashed myself in the $70s... I got to tell you, it's just been a disaster... On an evaluation basis, the stock has come down enough, but there is no IPO and that's their lifeblood... The NASDAQ is eating their lunch but they haven't done anything to make me feel that they're getting their act together, other than the fact that I like their CEO, Duncan Niederauer... But I can't buy NYX, I can't buy NYX, I can barely look at NYX... But I have owned up to it 30 points ago and I feel like that everybody who got hurt by it... I remember, I got hurt severely on my charitable trust, that's one of the worst things I have ever done... But I have owned up to it and I left it... And I think that's very clear in 7 episodes including one episode where people just said, will you stop torturing yourself about it... so I will...

ARBA

15.51

na

Ariba Inc. (ARBA)

ARBA - ARBA, ARBA, that's internet commerce... I've got to tell you, can I make a point here that as bad as the newspaper stocks have been, the net's actually been good... Google (GOOG) is good, ARBA is good... I also remember that I told you that Carl Icahn would be back when the stock broke down... And I said he's going to buy enough stock to get on the board and sell it to Microsoft (MSFT)... Yahoo! (YHOO) is good... So let's stop selling that group... That group is okay... By the way, may I throw in the fact that Research In Motion (RIMM), I urge you to buy it on that weakness, I hope you did, I still want to buy RIMM. I still want to buy it.

CHK

61.55

na

Chesapeake (CHK)

CHK - Alright, now, let's discuss this... This is going to be the big litmus test, the big test of all the natural gas... The company that has the most momentum in natural gas that's made a series of acquisitions, that has done a lot of things right is CHK... Aubrey McLennan, the CEO, has made us a lot of money... Every time he's bought I've suggested buy... I've been recommending now for four years... After the bell, they issued 25 million shares... This is the test case... If you watch this print, what's known as a "print"... If this stock holds, and the futures of natural gas hold, you're going to get the next leg up... If it doesn't hold, then we're going to suffer, we'll be suffering...

DE*

66.96

na

Deere (DE*)

DE - I actually bought some for my charitable trust today... I had not bought some since the... I mean this stock has been horrendous... This stock has been down 30 straight points... It just doesn't belong that low... There's still worldwide famine and there's still going to be an absolute bumper crop and the farmers are going to have money and they're going to buy... I think this stock is way overdone... The reversal in the fertilizers today tells me that unless this company pre-announces tonight, you're going to be able to make some money in DE if you buy it tomorrow morning. This is a tough market for the companies that are involved with oil and natural gas and steel and farm equipment... But remember, it was a tough market for the drug stocks, and now they're flying... I say dip your toe in... Start buying some DE... I also think that when we see the CHK... If that deal works, you've got to buy, buy, buy that group.

Thumbs up - indicates he would buy the stock or, at the very least, not sell the stock.  We do our best to interpret Jim's opinion on stocks, as we think it is indicated by his comments during the show.  Please read his comments to decide for yourself.

Thumbs down - indicates he has said not to buy or to sell the stock, based on his comments  We do our best to interpret Jim's opinion on stocks, as we think it is indicated by his comments during the show.  Please read his comments to decide for yourself.

Back up the truck - indicated by Jim, when he says the stock is so good, that he would do a 'mon-back' on the stock... In other words, this is the sound someone would say to a truck driver, "Come on back... " as he is "backing up the truck" to load up on his cargo.  Translation for buying stocks:  This recommendation by Jim indicates that, after you do your own homework on the stock, you should feel comfortable loading up on it, as it is in a good position to be bought at this point.

Stumped. - Of the 2,000+ stocks that Jim Cramer has in his head, for which he has an informed opinion, he sometimes comes across a caller with a stock he does not know well enough to opine on...  He then indicates he is stumped and will have to come back to it, after he does some homework of his own on the stock.  This usually occurs during the Lightning Round, when Jim does not know in advance who is calling, or what their stock question is about.

Definitions of key phrases used by Jim, known as "Cramerisms":

Definition:   'Pull the trigger' is Jim's phrase for making the decision at that point to trade - either to 'buy' or to 'sell' (although he usually uses the phrase for buying), as if to say you should feel comfortable enough to make the final decision without looking back...

Definition:   'Ring the Register' is Jim's phrase for selling a stock, and making it a final sale, that you should not look back on.  Put it behind you.

Definition:  'Let It Come In' indicates how you may wait for it to pull back, or have the stock price come down briefly, as your chance (after letting it come in) to buy the rest of your position (i.e., total number of shares you own in that stock).

Definition:  'backing it up' or 'doing a 'mon-back' is Jim's phrase for the metaphor of backing up a truck to load up on a stock by buying it.  'Mon-back is short for the imaginary worker saying, 'Come on back...' as the truck is backing up to receive its load... Notice that we use the little truck icon to indicate where Jim has mentioned this.  Translation for buying stocks:  This recommendation by Jim indicates that, after you do your own homework on the stock, you should feel comfortable loading up on it, as it is in a good position to be bought at this point.
