NVO

51.24

na

Novo Nordisk A/S (NVO)

NVO -  I have now apologized and said I've been wrong for at least 8 points because I freaked out.  I thought that they would have a very good analysis of their diabetes drug.  I got this wrong.  I continue to apologize for getting it wrong.  You couldn't get anymore wrong than I've been.   I continue to wait for the data that shows me that this drug is for real.  But, you know what...  we didn't lose faith in Allergan Inc. (AGN)... Did you see that up big today on the migraine drug?  We are close, close to thinking that something good will happen to NVO, but it has been a straight down stocks, and I've got to tell you, when drug companies go straight down, I'm a buyer not a seller.

APC

55.32

na

Anadarko Petroleum (APC)

APC -  Let's just lump them all together... let's lump Chesapeake (CHK) with XTO (XTO*) with APC... If you believe, like I do, that natural gas is going to be the gas of the future, if you believe we're going to be gassing up with natural gas within two or three years... if you believe in the Pickens Plan...  you can't sell these stocks.  You just can't!  It is ludicrous.  But, obviously, they've crashed.  They're owned by hedge funds gone wild, which are frantically trying to kick them out.  I believe that APC will buy back every share it can right here.  They've locked in a higher price.  I am not going to sell APC.  I believe in the long-term thesis of natural gas.  I have said it got too hot... We've come back down.  What?  Am I going to desert them now? No way!

YGE

13.13

na

Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. (YGE)

YGE -  Nope, nope, nope, nope and nope!  We are not going into the People's Republic of China to be able to get polysilicon...  We have enough problems with MEMC Electronic Materials (WFR) here.  China, by the way, is now down 61-62%.  After the ParaOlympics are over, we need to see a gigantic stimulus plan, we need to see China cut rates... and, only then, will China reverse itself.  The China market was up 90% last year.  It's now down 60%. Doesn't it sound like Nasdaq in 2000 and 2003? We need to see a bottom, and I don't like that stock anyway.

TTWO

21.65

na

Take-Two Interactive Software (TTWO)

TTWO -  No, no.  I think you ring the register there... sell, sell, sell... I think you had a good gain and should move on...

EBAY

23.03

na

eBay Inc. (EBAY)

EBAY -   EBAY?...  No, no...  EBAY has lost touch with reality...  I actually think that PayPal (owned by EBAY) is worth more than EBAY right now...  EBAY has lost touch, and the company is just hapless right now...  I don't even know what to do with the buyers running it right now. It's like kind of like a hobbyist thing now.  They ought to sell themselves to somebody...

FSLR

209.70

na

First Solar (FSLR)

FSLR -  That's an Obama play, that is not a McCain play...  Everytime oil comes down and Obama loses in the polls, FSLR goes down.  I like the technology.  I'm a buyer of FSLR.  But, you know what... I've liked it since $50, and I guess I should have gotten off at $300, but I still believe that oil, regardless of where it is, we're going to have solar as an integral part, along with wind and along with natural gas.  Call me a dreamer, but I'm an 18-month dreamer, and I'm going to be right.

A Charitable Trust stock. - An asterisk next to a stock symbol indicates that Jim mentioned it is a stock that he manages within
his charitable trust portfolio.  You can see the complete portfolio
of stocks here >>

Thumbs up - indicates he would buy the stock or, at the very least, not sell the stock.  We do our best to interpret Jim's opinion on stocks, as we think it is indicated by his comments during the show.  Please read his comments to decide for yourself.

Thumbs down - indicates he has said not to buy or to sell the stock, based on his comments  We do our best to interpret Jim's opinion on stocks, as we think it is indicated by his comments during the show.  Please read his comments to decide for yourself.

Back up the truck - indicated by Jim, when he says the stock is so good, that he would do a 'mon-back' on the stock... In other words, this is the sound someone would say to a truck driver, "Come on back... " as he is "backing up the truck" to load up on his cargo.  Translation for buying stocks:  This recommendation by Jim indicates that, after you do your own homework on the stock, you should feel comfortable loading up on it, as it is in a good position to be bought at this point.

Stumped. - Of the 2,000+ stocks that Jim Cramer has in his head, for which he has an informed opinion, he sometimes comes across a caller with a stock he does not know well enough to opine on...  He then indicates he is stumped and will have to come back to it, after he does some homework of his own on the stock.  This usually occurs during the Lightning Round, when Jim does not know in advance who is calling, or what their stock question is about.

Definitions of key phrases used by Jim, known as "Cramerisms":

Definition:   'Pull the trigger' is Jim's phrase for making the decision at that point to trade - either to 'buy' or to 'sell' (although he usually uses the phrase for buying), as if to say you should feel comfortable enough to make the final decision without looking back...

Definition:   'Ring the Register' is Jim's phrase for selling a stock, and making it a final sale, that you should not look back on.  Put it behind you.

Definition:  'Let It Come In' indicates how you may wait for it to pull back, or have the stock price come down briefly, as your chance (after letting it come in) to buy the rest of your position (i.e., total number of shares you own in that stock).

Definition:  'backing it up' or 'doing a 'mon-back' is Jim's phrase for the metaphor of backing up a truck to load up on a stock by buying it.  'Mon-back is short for the imaginary worker saying, 'Come on back...' as the truck is backing up to receive its load... Notice that we use the little truck icon to indicate where Jim has mentioned this.  Translation for buying stocks:  This recommendation by Jim indicates that, after you do your own homework on the stock, you should feel comfortable loading up on it, as it is in a good position to be bought at this point.
