On the best China play...
JJC: My China
play remains, not
LDK Solar Co.Ltd. (LDK),
not
China Tel (CHA),
or China Aluminum, or China
Construction Bank... but, no....
Yum! Brands (YUM),
because that's Kentucky Fried
Chicken... We are in a situation
right now, that if you wanted good
chicken that you're not worried
about, because you like chicken,
because your diet is now
pro-protein, and you're in China,
the good houskeeping seal of
approval is Kentucky Fried
Chicken... and YUM is moving big
there. David Novak, the CEO,
understands where the growth is.
He is repairing Taco Bell in our
country... of that, I am quite
confident. But, in the interim,
it's a China play. That's why
YUM's closer to its 52-week high
than low, even though it's got raw
costs that are very high. YUM goes
to $45... Oh yeah, I think that
stock is going to blow through. I
think that people continually
think that, when gasoline goes up,
people stop eating KFC. Well,
maybe they do somewhat, but I
think that, in China, it's not
like that at all...
. . .
. .
On the best India play...
JJC: We've got a
great story here.
Sterlite Industries India
Ltd. (SLT)
bought Asarco out of bankruptcy.
Asarco, for anybody who traded
long enough knows, was just a
fabulous, very-high-profit-margin
copper company. We need copper in
this world, not just for current
construction use, but because,
when you're going to have
batteries that are going to
recharge... I know this is
something that
Toyota Motor Corp. (TM)
has been very involved in...
you'll need tons of copper. SLT is
a very forward-thinking company
that's well off its high. An
Indian company that I would buy
aggressively right here. This one
should be bought... It's coming
down, and that acquisition's going
to prove to be a brilliant one.
. . .
. .
On two other emerging market
plays, CVRD (RIO)
and Monsanto (MON)...
JJC:
CVRD (RIO)
is one of those stocks that
deserves to be... it's been a paid
member of the new-high list
worldwide for a long time. It's
come down a lot... it's come down
6 points off of its 52-week high.
I don't get why this stock is in a
situation where it sells off
really big, given that it is,
again, a China play... Even though
it's in Brazil, it's a China
play... I like RIO. When I see oil
and gas flying, it means minerals
are going to be flying... RIO's a
buy here... going to $44. It's
cheap... it is. And, look... I was
a big buyer of
Petroleo Brasileiro (PBR).
That's not cheap anymore. RIO's
still cheap.
Monsanto (MON)
is a name that you and I have
liked for a long time. It's
basically like the old days when
Dome Petroleum used to find new
oil in Canada... They've got new
seeds that could double production
of corn and, when you read that,
what you basically have to say is,
okay, let's say they had 15
billion barrels of oil... Now
they're going to have 30 billion
barrels of oil... MON is not
quitting here. 52-week high, and
it's not quitting. There are very
few companies that have just blown
through right here... none of the
fertilizer companies are, although
they're all up... MON looks like
$150 is the next target.

Back up the truck -
indicated by Jim, when he
says the stock is so good,
that he would do a
'mon-back' on the stock...
In other words, this is the
sound someone would say to a
truck driver, "Come on
back... " as he is "backing
up the truck" to load up on
his cargo. Translation
for buying stocks:
This recommendation by Jim
indicates that, after you do
your own
homework on the stock,
you should feel comfortable
loading up on it, as it is
in a good position to be
bought at this point.
Stumped. - Of the
2,000+ stocks that Jim
Cramer has in his head, for
which he has an informed
opinion, he sometimes comes
across a caller with a stock
he does not know well enough
to opine on... He then
indicates he is stumped and
will have to come back to
it, after he does some
homework of his own on
the stock. This
usually occurs during the
Lightning Round, when Jim
does not know in advance who
is calling, or what their
stock question is about.
Definitions of key phrases
used by Jim, known as
"Cramerisms":
Definition: 'Pull the
trigger' is Jim's phrase for making
the decision at that point to trade -
either to 'buy' or
to 'sell' (although he
usually uses the phrase for
buying), as if to say you
should feel comfortable
enough to make the final
decision without looking
back...
Definition: 'Ring
the Register' is Jim's phrase for
selling a stock, and making
it a final sale, that you
should not look back on.
Put it behind you.
Definition:'Let It Come In' indicates how you
may wait for it to pull back, or have the
stock price come down briefly, as your
chance (after letting it come in) to buy
the rest of your position (i.e., total
number of shares you own in that stock).
Definition:'backing it up'
or 'doing a 'mon-back' is Jim's
phrase for the metaphor of backing up a
truck to load up on a stock by buying
it. 'Mon-back is short for the
imaginary worker saying, 'Come on
back...' as the truck is backing up to
receive its load... Notice that we use
the little truck icon to indicate where
Jim has mentioned this.
Translation for buying
