LYG |
2.61 |
Lloyds TSB Group plc (LYG)
Q: My
speculative stock is LYG - Lloyds Bank
in England with no TARP.
Jim: Okay, I don’t care
that Lloyds doesn’t have TARP money… you
are absolutely right, I once mistakenly
said that it needed government help… but
it doesn’t…. but I will not recommend
any British bank… and Royal Bank of
Scotland, tells you why… that is really,
really a difficult situation… no, no
recommendations of any common stock
right now on the banks… but particularly
not the British ones.

 |
PAYX |
24.68 |
Paychex Inc. (PAYX)
Q:
Paychex is yielding near 5%.
Jim: You are absolutely
right… it has a 5% yield… it has now hit
my list of accidental high yielders…
now, Paychex obviously needs strong
employment… to make a lot of money… and
it also lives off the float of the
people who issue the checks… the cash
rate is so low that they are not
generating much off the float… obviously
unemployment is an issue… I do believe
that you can buy that on the way down…
and I would be buying, and pulling the
trigger right here.

MON |
75.85 |
Monsanto (MON)
Q: I have
a question on Monsanto, sold them at a
decent gain, should I buy them now?
Jim: No, we had that
gain… I recommended that trade on
RealMoney.com,
where I am Chairman, it is part of
TheStreet.com, a
paid site… I don’t look back when I had
that kind of gain, I want you to move
on.

WTW |
24.91 |
Weight Watcher's
International Inc. (WTW)
Q: What
should I do with Weight Watchers?
Jim: I would tell you
that Weight Watchers is a good long term
story… I can’t get behind it right now…
and it is not necessarily recession
resistant… it just may not work for me.

AGO |
8.09 |
Assured Guaranty Ltd. (AGO)
Q: My
stock is Assured Guaranty?
Jim: You know what…
look, I know what business it is in… as
I say in this one, sometimes I can only
do sector analysis on this show… and
that is in… that is a guaranteed
insurance and re-insurance company…
which I gotta tell you, at first blush…
I do not want to own… and if I find
anything different that changes my mind…
I will certainly let you know… hey my
voice held out for most of the Lightning
Round...

NGG |
44.86 |
National Grid plc (NGG)
Q: What
can you tell me about National Grid?
Jim: I have always been
a very big believer in National Grid…
because they bought one of my favorite
utilities, Brooklyn Union Gas… I do wish
the yield was bigger… it only yields
about 4 ½%… let’s buy some here… and
then wait until it comes down… I like
the utilities… they are right in the
slowdown… and boy do we ever have a
slowdown… I want you to buy National
Grid on the way down… and stick with it.
