Q:     Can I get your opinion on Optimer Pharmaceuticals?

Jim:    Incredibly interesting spec (i.e., speculative play)… I absolutely would tell you that, if you picked that stock as a biotech spec play… as we do when we play speculative Fridays… you will, maybe… look, that is one that could be a big winner… GI (i.e., gastro-intestinal) intestinal stuff that no one else seems to be working on.

OM Group Inc. (OMG)

Q:     Hey, during Green Week in 2007, you recommended OM Group...  When it was at $58, in April of ’08, you suggested to buy... good call. Well I like OMG’s leadership, green seems to be back, and with oil prices eventually increasing, is it time to ride this one back up?

Jim:   This is an all mineral company… I cannot recommend a mineral company right now… until I see the whites of the eyes of the Chinese bailout… by the way, China up 10%… I cannot touch this stock… it still has further to go down.

General Motors (GM)

Q:     How do you feel about GM for a long term?

Jim:   Too speculative for me… just too speculative… I just cannot recommend it… I have, uh, from time to time recommended a convertible preferred for GM (i.e., General Motors Preferred (GPM) - see that featured show on the preferred stocks of the automakers, from last December 9th, here)… but I cannot recommend the common stock.

Q:     I am a young investor, and I own natural gas stock, XTO Energy, they are working to reduce their debt and I was wondering what your take on them was?

Jim:   We had Bob Simpson, the chairman, on recently… Bob Simpson sold a lot of stock, we wanted to ask him about, it was for diversification… it is the second best run natural gas company after Anadarko… I am not recommending any natural gas companies… I am only recommending a natural gas transmission company which is Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP)… there is too much downside to natural gas… because there is too much downside to natural gas the fuel.

Q:     I want to ask you a question about ABCO the advisory board company, no debt, great CEO, what am I doing here baby? Am I buying?

Jim:   I don’t know it… I don’t know the Advisory Board… like Del Monte Foods Co. (DLM) which I have now nailed down… I will get a run down on the Advisory Board… I do not know it… I do not know why I do not know it… because it is certainly in an attractive industry… but I have got to come back… because I just don’t know it well enough… I am sorry that I have to punt on that.

Q:     I am looking at HOG, Harley Davidson?

Jim:   Still downside… still downside… discretionary purchase… little inventory problem… I do not want to touch that stock… I feel very badly about that… because I think it makes the greatest product… that everybody loves I know who has one… I mean just loves it… whether it be Dr. D the fantastic guy who runs the Ritz Carlton down there at the Cayman Islands, who was terrific on this charity event that I was at… or my cameraman, Keith… here show us the camera… he runs it… or my buddy Michael Alley… he has a couple of good ones… but I cannot recommend the stock… I can just recommend the machine. How about we go… we take one more… because, you know what, I am a benevolent king.

Sprint Nextel Corp. (S)

Q:     What do you think about S stock from Sprint Nextel?

Jim:   Sprint is too speculative for me… both Sprint and Quest are too speculative … why are they too speculative… well there is a very good answers… because I think they are interesting plays… but I never recommend a stock on this show if I think the fundamentals are great… and the fundamentals, frankly, despite the incredible installed base for Sprint… just aren’t that great.

I hate to down on a down note… but what can you do?… it’s the Lightning Round… and it is over.
