KBR |

KBR, Inc. (KBR)
Q: A
while back you recommended KBR as a
possible take over play, and I wanted to
know your current take on them?
Jim: I like it even
more… now, now about this… they had a
gigantic settlement with Nigeria… they
okayed a huge amount of money… to the
naked eye people said oh this one is
going to be down $2, or $3... what did
KBR do today… it was up .17 cents… that
is a sign of tremendous strength… I want
to buy, buy, buy KBR… it is a great
infrastructure play.

DRYS |

DryShips, Inc. (DRYS)
Q:
DRYS?...
Jim: Don’t like it…
don’t like it… obviously balanced sheet
hobbled… really think that it is not
doing well… remember, I turned on this
ship business… it is not working… even
though the Baltic Freight Index is good…
do you know what I am even worried
about… as I said last night… I am
worried about
Nordic American Tanker (NAT)…
since the price of oil… I am not a buyer
of Dry Ships… I do find it amazing that
every morning when I come in… it is the
most actively traded stock on our
ticker… don’t be fooled… do some
selling.

AF |

Astoria Financial Corporation (AF)
Q:
Astoria Financial?...
Jim: I am amazed… this
is my old mortgage holder… from when I
lived in Brooklyn… I have to tell you it
is a well run bank… but you know my
rules on banks… we don’t recommend them…
two banks we recommend because they are
not real banks… although they are
charter… we recommend
Goldman Sachs (GS*)…
which is just on a major rip… I think we
will be able to pay back TARP soon… and
we like
Morgan Stanley (MS*)…
these are two stocks that I own for
my charitable trust,
ActionAlertsPlus.com,
which are beating the pants off the darn
market.

Dow Chemical Co. (DOW)
Q: My
question is Dow Chemical?...
Jim: Well, they finally
cut the dividend… I was going to bring
up the
Wall of Shame
today… but it was such a “jammed pack”
show… to quote all the other shows on
TV… that I decided to hold back… but
that guy who runs that company… Liveris…
Let’s just say the Lightning Round is
over.
