CCC

12.65

Calgon Carbon Corp. (CCC)

Jim:   Okay, this is a complicated one because, recently, The Wall Street Journal did a positive article about it, talking about its filtration system, and how it could be an Obama stock. Why is it problematic?... We're now discovering... there are no "Obama stocks"... None... none. No one can make a dime off of this administration...

DD

18.90

DuPont (DD)

Jim:   No. Dave Pelletier does that dividend advisor for me at TheStreet.com, where I'm Chairman... and says that DuPont dividend is not safe! He says it's not safe. If he says it's not safe, I do not want to touch it. And, remember, he nailed Dow Chemical Co. (DOW)... Boy, the DOW bonds are for sale... You don't want to touch Dow Chemical either. Holy cow... Remember, that guy's on the Wall of Shame... the guy who runs DOW.

DOW

7.45

Dow Chemical Co. (DOW)

Full Company Name & Jim's Comments:

WNR

11.43

Western Refining Inc. (WNR)

Jim:   I'm not getting behind that refiner. The only refiner I like are the integrated refiners. That's why I like Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) and you get the dividend. I'm down in Valero Energy Corp. (VLO), I'm down with Tesoro Corporation (TSO), and I'm down in WNR.

MRO

24.15

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO)

DLM

7.38

Del Monte Foods Co. (DLM)

Jim:   Well, we don't want to eat too much of that because it's got a lot of cat food there. And, remember, we always pose that question... why do people eat cat food and not dog food, because we tried them both and they were both equally delicious... (yuk!)... Now, here's the problem... There was an article the other day, saying that DLM... I forget which paper it was... cannot keep pace with the commodity price increases. It caused the stock to go down. I have researched that article and, as people remember when I recommended DLM, that article is wrong. The price is good. By the way, here's a two-fer... I like Dean Foods Co. (DF) too, but it was easy to like DF, because they pre-announced a good number.

DF

20.05

Dean Foods Co. (DF)

See DLM comments above for:
DF

AKS

6.19

AK Steel Holding Corp. (AKS)

Jim:   I don't like the steel companies right here, and particularly that one. Sell, sell, sell... I do like Nucor (NUE), if it comes to the $20s. And, if Allegheny Technologies Inc. (ATI) comes down a lot, I might like that one too. We're not getting anywhere near that AKS. That was something that should have been taken over a long time ago. It didn't, and there's no takeovers coming in steel.

NUE

35.13

Nucor (NUE)

See AKS comments above for:
NUE

Price target to buy NUE:  In the $20s

ATI

19.96

Allegheny Technologies Inc. (ATI)

See AKS comments above for:
ATI

WEN

4.89

Wendy's International Inc. (WEN)

Jim:   Well, Wendy's is a dice roll... Now, here's the problem with WEN... Why would you ever buy WEN, when
McDonald's (MCD) is virtually in freefall at $52, with a great, great balance sheet and good dividend. I say ix-nay WEN. Welcome aboard, MCD. Under $50, I want to buy that for my charitable trust, ActionAlertsPlus.com... That's my level to buy. That's where I'll pull the trigger.

MCD

52.20

McDonald's (MCD)

See WEN comments above for:
MCD

Price target to buy MCD:    Below $50.00

IP

5.83

International Paper (IP)

Jim:   Don't waste even another second on IP... Sell, sell, sell... IP does not have it... IP does not have it. They've done so much to wreck that company. I'm sorry to say that. Mr. Dillon must feel terrible about what's happened to this company. I don't want to touch IP.

AA

6.51

Alcoa, Inc. (AA)

Jim:   I was talking about Alcoa with my friend... my accountant that I use to be able to really do things... and he's saying that, at these levels, AA is really interesting... so I am no longer going to 'dis AA at $6 bucks. As a matter of fact, I'm going to endorse it as a speculative play. Buy, buy, buy... AA, unlike International Paper, I think, has a lot more specialty going for it... Can you imagine, this company was at $40 bucks?... Well, IP was at $40... Everything was at $40 bucks at one time!... Now, I think all we have is, like, 40 bucks!...

VLY

11.38

Valley National Bancorp (VLY)

Jim:   You know what?... It's a bank, which means sell, sell, sell... I'm not changing my view. Remember, Tim Geithner might get a call from a reporter who says, listen Tim, I want you to go negative on the banks... I want you to leak it to three other reporters, and Tim will say, oh okay... that's what I'll do... And then, the next thing you know, that stock will go... I know it seems strange... I mean, shouldn't he be calling the reporters, and saying, here's what I'm going to say?... But apparently he is switched up and he takes his view from the reporters, so we're not going to recommend that.

FUN

7.75

Cedar Fair LP (FUN)

Jim:   Holy cow... Do you know that a director was "margined out" last night in CF?... This is that absolutely terrific theme park, and yet they missed their numbers and now suddenly it's in trouble. This is one where I apologized for it... Don't buy, dont' buy... I looked at the balance sheet, and I thought it was in good shape, and it was a play on lower gasoline prices... But they blew it, and therefore, I blew it... You've got to own it, you've got to own it. It's a rough market. What, am I going to sit here and say I got it right? I got it wrong. That's why Barron's calls me a genius!...

SII

21.37

Smith International Inc. (SII)

Jim:   Cheap! Cheap!... Buy, buy, buy!... Finally, I've got one I am going to recommend... That stock is down too much. That's an oil drilling, oil service company. I think SII should be bought and bought right here! It's cheap, and there's going to be consolidation in that industry, and I want to pull the trigger on SII!
