Entergy Corp. (ETR)
Jim: Aww... It's
okay. It's not great. Remember, we've
got
Dominion Resources Inc. (D),
letter D... Why do we like that? Two
years in a row with an 11% dividend
boost and a management team has a buy
program. That's your play. Plus, they
also have... they have a very big
renewable energy base, where they're not
going to run afoul of Obama...

Jim: Look, I like
RIMM... I like the Blackberry... I've
been right on this stock for the first
couple of years, and then wrong as you
could be for the last year. Remember, I
like
Apple (AAPL)
and I like RIMM. I don't think that I
can opine on RIMM, because I've been so
bad on it. Better to just own it, admit
it and wear the post-it... than to give
you a view on it where I don't think I
have credence...

Manulife Financial
Corporation (MFC)
Jim: Now, listen...
there was a piece today by UBS which
talked about a coming short squeeze...
or
Hartford Financial
Services Group Inc. (HIG)... They mentioned
MetLife (MET),
Prudential (PRU)...
could be
AFLAC Inc. (AFL)... even
Lincoln National Corp. (LNC)... Why?
Because, if we get a change in the
accounting standards on insurance, and
let them have some judgment, we're going
to see a quick move up. Now, if you
believe this, Aflac, I think, has the
best balance sheet. They've got some
exposure to European hybrids... And MET
is the most reserved... Now, MET was up
$2 bucks today on this... This was a
story that I broke today... This was a
story that I did on
RealMoney.com...
and I want to stick by it for a second
day...

Jim: I'm still
thinking about that Peter Swinburn
interview, where I said, are you going
to take advantage of the possibility of
the chaos at InBev, and he didn't give
us... Now, InBev now BUD... He did not
give us the heads up and, subsequently I
did some work and realized that they are
not taking share, of any way that I
thought would be significant. I would
rather have you... No. I'm not going to
do it... I mean, the stock's at a
52-week low, but I don't want to buy
it... Don't buy, don't buy... I don't
want to buy TAP. I just don't think they
may have... They may not have it
together like I thought they did. Sorry.

General Maritime Corp. (GMR)
Jim: No, no... If
you're going to do that for your
401(k)... what I want you to do is own
Nordic American Tanker (NAT)...
where I have much more conviction, that
Gibbons is going to stay there... NAT.
And I really believe that, as rates stay
high, that one does well.

Jim: The credit
default swap... Actually, I turned a
little positive on
NYSE Euronext, Inc. (NYX),
because I think they can make the
dividend... ICE is interesting. When the
market peaked, this one really peaked
with it. I think NYX is going to pay you
to wait for IPOs to come back. They've
got a good dividend. They've got some
good operations people there. Let's go
with that one.

Jim: I want to be in
it... I want to be in it... I know the
company really got hit by Household
International... But I think it's priced
in. I think it works. I'm willing to
take a shot at it.

MSFT |
16.90 |
Microsoft (MSFT)
Jim: Microsoft?
Ahh... I can't get excited about MSFT. I
just think it's kind of dead in the
water. It could go up with the rest of
the market. It's just not exciting
enough.

CLWR |
4.30 |
Clearwire Corporation
(CLWR)
Jim: No. I think that
ain't going to happen... I've got to
tell you... Sell, sell, sell... I just
don't see it happening. It got a nice
little bounce here... I would take the
bounce...
|
|
 |
AA |
5.59 |
Alcoa, Inc. (AA)
Jim: Okay, now let's
go over what I said... I said that when
the market bottoms, it's an absolute
bottom... if all the financials went to
zero, that would mean Dow 5,320. I said
that it would not hit that. That would
mean that every single financial would
go to zero. That was my worst case. And,
given that it was at 6,300 when I put it
together, that meant you should start
buying, not start selling. Last week, I
said that I thought that Alcoa's
dividend would be cut... They did cut
the dividend. I still don't like the
stock. If I want to be in minerals, I
want to be in
Freeport-McMoRan (FCX*).
I hope that is clear. I hope that is
clear to everyone.

T |

AT&T (T)
Jim: I say yes! I saw
T break out today. I saw VZ... And
everybody knows that these are two of my
favorites... Goldman Sachs put out a
fabulous piece last week about value and
dividend growth. T has it and VZ has it.
Buy, buy, buy... And I am a huge buyer
of both of those, including Mr.
Stevenson and Mr. Siedenburg... two of
the best executives in America.

ENER |

Energy Conversion Devices (ENER)
Jim: I was very
disappointed with that quarter. I've got
to tell you. I went over all the
research, and I am struggling to find
anything positive about that. That was
just a major miss. I don't think Obama's
budget is going to help it. I don't want
to touch ENER, even right here. I bet
you it falls again tomorrow. Sell, sell,
sell... I say stay away, ENER.
