CV Therapeutics, Inc. (CVTX)
Jim: No, I like
Gilead Sciences Inc.
(GILD*)...
I own it for
ActionAlertsPlus.com, my
charitable trust, I
like it down here very much… but CV
Therapeutics, that deal is done… We are
not
arbitragers, we sell after the deal
is announced, move on to the next.

DNR |
16.25 |
Denbury Resources Inc. (DNR)
Jim: I think Denbury
Resources is an inexpensive mineral
company… I have to tell you when it got
out of the S&P last night… I thought it
would jump… it did not jump… you know
oil and natural gas, maybe the problem
is that natural gas broke thru $4... but
I am a buyer… I think that it is an
inexpensive stock, it used to be twice
as high.

DEI |
8.35 |
Douglas Emmett Inc (DEI)
Jim: No, commercial
real estate is not my thing, especially
in California… look I like this market,
I think the market is going higher… but
not every single sector is going to
continue… and I do not like DEI.
|
|
 |
MON |
87.64 |
Monsanto (MON)
Jim: Monsanto... it
has just been up so much, it is on such
a tear, it is a shame… because I have
got to tell you I think it is the best
of the group of the farm group… except
for the one that I have been all in on,
and I sure hope you bought… and that is
Terra Nitrogen Company, L.P.
(TNH)…
which has that great dividend and
remains my favorite… lets rank them…
TNH, then Monsanto, then
Agrium (AGU),
then
Mosaic (MOS),
then
Potash (POT)…
Potash having just spiked… people think
that it is going to make an acquisition
or be acquired… I do not think that is
true.

MHK |
33.91 |
Mohawk Industries Inc. (MHK)
Jim: MHK, which is
Mohawk reminds me of Whirlpool… one of
the things that has happened, and
believe me I have been thinking about
this everyday… I said that there would
be 97 more days until the housing
bottom… but you know what, I think that
I am going to be late… this is one of
the craziest calls that I have ever
made… and everyone just told me that I
am a complete moron… it is a national
crisis, but it bottoms regionally… but
Mohawk up 4... we saw the same thing
with
Whirlpool Corp. (WHR)…
these are the best buy, these are all
functions of the fact that housing is
coming back… tremendous, tremendous
interview today with Tony Crenszy about
housing… I think housing is going
higher… and I think that Mohawk goes
higher… even though I don’t want to buy
here.

SOHU |
42.40 |
Sohu.com Inc. (SOHU)
Jim: Chinese, no… I
love the Chinese as communist capitalist
but I don’t like the fact that they are
not pro-internet… I think that one is
dicey… I would rather own
Google, Inc. (GOOG).

FWLT* |
19.28 |
Foster Wheeler (FWLT*)
Jim: Alright, I will
be very candid… Foster Wheeler I did a
little schnitzel today I sold some for
my charitable trust…
where I play with an open hand
ActionAlertsPlus.com... Why did I do
that?… I am up nicely from the bottom
but I just feel like the position is too
big after that quarter.. so I took a
little off the table… but I still have a
substantial position because oil is
going higher and it is levered to oil.

 |
MET |
25.20 |
MetLife (MET)
Jim: Let me go for
the pecking order there… I like
Travelers (TRV)
first because there is prop cash…
Chubb (CB)
second, prop cash… and then I would like
Metlife, which is a very good company
that I thinks bottoms… I was also doing
a lot of work on Aflac, because it looks
like a lot of the strange securities
that are invested in Europe are good… so
we got Travelers, then we got Chubb,
then we got Metlife, then we got
AFLAC Inc. (AFL)…
and I will because at this stage of the
rally, recommend that it is okay to buy
Metlife.

CAT |
30.78 |
Caterpillar Inc. (CAT)
Jim: I am mad at
myself Caterpillar… when the stock got
down to $23, $24 did I pull the trigger
and buy some for charity… no… I owned
some at $30... and I let it go down, and
I have to tell you something that I was
so worried about the dividend being
cancelled that I just screwed it up… I
think that it is still not too late to
buy… but you know it was $27 yesterday,
so let’s wait for a pull back and then
we will pull the trigger.
|
|
 |
VZ |
30.54 |
Verizon
(VZ)
Jim: People regard it
as too cautious and safe… they believe
that when the economy is really coming
out of a recession that you sell
Verizon… those people are being short
sighted… Ivan Siedenberg’s phios is
taking the world by storm… I would use
the flat lining in Verizon to pick some
up… just like I recommended some other
stocks like
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ*)
and
Procter & Gamble (PG*)
this week… I know that they are out of
favor right now… I care about buying
what is out of favor so I can sell it
when it is in favor… and right now
Verizon is out of favor for a few weeks…
and I want to buy, buy, buy Verizon.

STJ |
37.68 |
St. Jude Medical Inc. (STJ)
Jim: St. Jude has
been under attack from the fact that
Obama is trying to reform healthcare…
but you know what… it is such a strong
stock that it is going it up anyway… and
I endorse St. Jude… and I would
pull the trigger right here…
multiple times.
|
|
 |
TCK |
6.26 |
Teck Cominco Limited (TCK)
Jim: We had a call
out on that the other day… that is a
Teck Cominco… we had a call on that at
$4.50, and we said that it was a great
spec… you know what, it is at $6... so I
have to be careful, just added a quick
33%… but you know what, I would still
buy it up to $8.
Yeah, we got a lot of stocks that we
like… because the market is better and
the economy is better...
