Final Segment #1:
'Am I Diversified?'
Wednesday, April 1, 2009

In this segment, Jim takes 2-4 callers and asks them to submit five stocks that make up their largest positions in their portfolio.  He then comments on whether or not they are properly diversified.

Jim:     When I tell you to own a stock that doesn’t mean you should all of your eggs in one basket… or a Cal-Maine Foods (CALM) for that matter… even if you are almost positive that it will go up… oh no my friend, I don’t have any of that… because diversification is the only free lunch… and that you know… although you know, yesterday I build up the salad, I paid for it, and I forgot to put the dressing on it… I got the free dressing… that is why we are playing Am I Diversified?...

Altria (MO*), Consolidated Edison Inc. (ED), Exxon Mobil (XOM), Unilever N.V. (UL*), Verizon (VZ)?...

Jim:     What do we got… we got a food company, food kind of like Proctor & Gamble which I own for
ActionAlertsPlus.com, my charitable trust, it is really moving up… we got some Altria, the tobacco company, that is Philip Morris, I have been scaling out of that one… why, because Sid my newsstand guy says no one will pay $8... ExxonMobil the largest oil company in the world, we like that… and ConEd, who I believe that I believe George has to pay the bill to, an excellent utility which we like… and (cross thru Verizon because the CEO is not coming on the show) but I normally like the stock… alright, (tried to erase the x)… so what do we have… we have a Telco company, a food and drug company, utility, an oil company and a tobacco company… that is unbelievable diversification… and I totally applaud it...

Verdict:
YES, Diversified.

Jim:     Let’s go right to work here… first, I have three names that I own for
my charitable trust, ActionAlertsPlus.com… the great drug company Johnson & Johnson, really stagnated here at $52, every since Warren Buffet started selling it… I own Wal-Mart the largest retailer, and boy are they great, I always wish Lee Scott the best, he is the retired CEO… Chevron, I already told you that that is my favorite oil company… Xylinx is a semiconductor company that I recommended because they had better than expected earnings… United Technologies, a diversified conglomerate…. a diversified conglomerate, drug company, retail, oil, tech… wow, another guy who really gets it… he really gets it… he is an astute watcher of the show.

Jim:     Alright here we go… FAS... this is an ETF, this is a financial ETF it is for when you really believe the financials and think they are going to go up, it is the opposite of the SKF… so we got the Home Death Spot, my Home Death Spot was filled on Saturday, filled… I was looking for garden furniture, they did not have the best garden furniture, okay… I own it for
ActionAlertsPlus.com… Southwestern, a principal great natural gas company, be careful natural gas is under $4, very, very scary to me when it gets there… I have to tell you I would be a seller of natural gas, it is at $3.68 today… Yahoo, that is also, never know when it is going to make a comeback online company… and ST Micro, that is a tech company… I am going to regard Yahoo as an internet play, we got a tech company, we got a financial, we got a natural gas., we got a retailer… yes, everyone is wise to my game… nice going.
