GIGM

6.43

GigaMedia Ltd. (GIGM)

Jim:   Well, it's a Chinese stock, first of all... so there's just no way we can ever figure it out... It's a gaming stock...  We know that the Chinese market is back.  I do not recommend individual Chinese stocks on this show, because they do not make us money, and they've betrayed us on another date... I recommend ETFs (i.e., FXI) for China, not individual stocks for China.  That's just the way I have to play it.

FXI

35.91

China Xinhua 25 iShares Index (FXI)

See GIGM comments above for:
FXI

SGMS

19.09

Scientific Games Corp. (SGMS)

Jim:   I recommended this stock a long time ago...  It does has a hammerlock on lotteries.  I think lotteries are a terrific, terrific business.  It's come down dramatically, and I want to buy the stock...  buy, buy, buy!... It's a good opportunity here, particularly with so many budgets in trouble.

QCOM*

41.79

QualComm Inc. (QCOM*)

Jim:   I own QualComm for ActionAlertsPlus.com, my charitable trust...  It had been on a tear and then, suddenly, we ran into an absolute Tech wreck this week... no one wanted tech...the house of pain...  and I say buy QCOM*... buy, buy, buy!... before its earnings accelerate.  It's got a great deal with Nokia (NOK), it's solving its legal problems with Broadcom...  The business is strong... it's got 4G coming.  I think QualComm is a screaming buy!...

NVS

38.36

Novartis AG (NVS)

Jim:   No.  I have really, really eliminated most of the drug stocks I talk about, unless they have a dramatically-high yield...  Here, I'm speaking about Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (BMY), with a good yield.  Yours only has a 4.4% yield.  I like Eli Lilly & Co. (LLY).  LLY's got a 5.4% yield.  Those are preferable to Novartis... sell, sell, sell!...

BMY

20.40

Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. (BMY)

BMY

LLY

35.95

Eli Lilly & Co. (LLY)

LLY

SIGM

13.59

Sigma Designs Inc. (SIGM)

Jim:   Why not own ON Semiconductor Corp. (ONNN)?... I think that's better than Sigma...  They just reported a quarter, and the quarter was knockout.

ONNN

5.61

ON Semiconductor Corp. (ONNN)

See SIGM comments above for:
ONNN

A

19.34

Agilent Technologies Inc. (A)

Jim:   Test and measurements... spun off...   You know, this stock has really confounded me.  It has been a terrible stock.  It has now ramped dramatically.  It is catching up with a lot of other companies.  I'm going to have to say, don't buy, dont' buy...  After that huge ramp, I need a bit of a pullback.

IPG

5.83

Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG)

Jim:   I think IPG is going to be a very, very late player in this game.  It's come back nicely, but I want to sell it. I base that on listening to the Disney Co. (DIS) conference call, the CBS (CBS) conference call, and the NEWS CORP (NWS) conference call...  where advertising is not turning around.  So I don't want to get ahead of that.  I've got too many players that are turning around, to sit with one that hasn't turned around.

FSYS

22.36

Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. (FSYS)

Jim:   Oh man, I think you've got a bit of a short squeeze going there (up more than 30% today)...  I mean, think about what happened here...  We thought they were going to earn 20 cents (a share) and they earned 40 cents.  I think that, when you see stocks like this, it's very important...  Up $5... I know this is going to seem a little counter intuitive, but it's going to be up again on Monday... because people weren't even focused on it.  It was up $5, but it's got further to run.  FSYS... a stock that we liked much lower... higher and lower.  I think it's coming back.  I think it's a great place to be.   Even though it went up $5, I am saying DON'T wait for a pullback...

SWHC

6.33

Smith & Wesson Holding Corp. (SWHC)

Jim:   Oh c'mon... better fish to fry.  I say "don't buy."  Actually, you know what... they had their time in the sun. It was one of the first stocks that we ever recommended on the show.  We had a double (i.e., the stock price doubled after recommending it). We left it. We never looked back.

YGE

8.92

Yingli Green Energy Holding Co. (YGE)

Jim:   Why are you speculating with Yingli, when we just had that unbelievable quarter from First Solar (FSLR), which was down?  I know First Solar is up 50 straight points.  I frankly don't care.  I think First Solar had a remarkable quarter.  And I want to say that First Solar would have broken out if it weren't in
the Nasdaq, and the Nasdaq had a bearish week.  I say stay long... go long First Solar, sell yours... sell, sell, sell!....  Sell the individual China stocks!...

FSLR

191.05

First Solar (FSLR)
