MBI

6.14

MBIA Inc. (MBI)

Jim:   I went over those earnings, and a lot of the "plus" in those earnings I did not think was actual... I'm not saying that they're fibbing...  I am saying that there was a credit default swap gain that I don't like to believe in as an earnings thing...  and I also feel that the actual earnings power of this company has been impaired... I do not want to buy it.  As a matter of fact, sell, sell, sell!

MELI

25.60

Mercadolibre, Inc. (MELI)

Jim:   This is the eBay (EBAY) of Latin America... I think that business is making a comeback.  However, I'd rather own the EBAY of America...  They've got new management.  I think Skype is going to be a good (stock spinoff) offering, and I also think that PayPal (which EBAY owns) is worth the price of the company.  So let's pull the trigger, EBAY, not MELI.

BMO

37.36

Bank of Montreal (BMO)

Jim:   Oh, my friend... you have now gone into the area of banks that I like a ton, and that is the Canadian banks... There's a lot of controversy.  I read a nice piece (i.e., newspaper/magazine article) by Henry Kravitz's wife, the other day... about the Canadian banks... it wasn't more regulation that did it...  I actually disagree.  I think that the environment is so stern there, that these banks didn't screw up.  I like BMO.  I want to buy it here.  I want to pull the trigger.

VZ

30.40

Verizon (VZ)

Jim:   I like Verizon!  I like Ivan Seidenberg...  I have to tell you, this stock has become a professional bow-wow... it's beginning to irritate me.  It's been stuck at $30.  It reminds me of a bond...  I have faith...   I believe you can get paid that dividend to wait for a turn, and I want to pull the trigger, Verizon!

NAT

36.08

Nordic American Tanker (NAT)

Jim:   Nordic American Tanker just filed a deal (i.e., a secondary stock offering)... You'll get that stock for 3 points lower...
