ConocoPhillips (COP*)
Jim: Totally agree,
ConocoPhillips with a 4% yield, it is
actually very undervalued… it is the
company that I think is most forward
looking in the business, because it has
a giant natural gas exposure courtesy of
the buy of Burlington Resources not that
long ago… management is terrific, they
did not have a beautiful quarter, but it
was better than others… and certainly a
surprise, I think that ConocoPhillips is
a huge buy… that is why I have been
buying it for
my charitable trust…
pull the trigger right here and you will
not regret it.

CAT |
37.78 |
Caterpillar Inc. (CAT)
Jim: Hey listen, I am
a buyer of CAT even up here… why,
because of international growth… and by
the way, India was an interesting CAT
play… I think that India is a major game
changer… as we know from Tim Sullivan on
Friday, who is the CEO of
Bucyrus
(BUCY),
this country may now be ready to start
buying some infrastructure business… but
regardless, Caterpillar is an
inexpensive stock that has just been
killed by fears of a global depression,
which I think ended on the date March
6th… that is why I have been buying
Caterpillar for the trust, I think CAT
goes higher.

 |
ALTH |
6.51 |
Allos Therapeutics, Inc.
(ALTH)
Jim: Well, I would
rather have you put that in your kids
account… that is a heavily speculative
situation… it may pay off, it may not…
we need some time for that small cell
molecule biotech… I am willing to go
with it only for spec… I am not willing
to consider it a drug stock.

PTRY |
19.88 |
Pantry Inc. (PTRY)
Jim: If I am going to
buy convenience store that is on the
road, I am going to direct you not to
The Pantry but I am going to send you to
Cracker Barrel (CBRL)…
which has a better earnings profile, and
I like the restaurant business, and
gasoline has peaked for the year… so
let’s go with
CBRL,
lets not go with The Pantry… a couple of
years ago it missed the quarter, never
really recovered in my book.

MDRX |
12.26 |
Allscripts Healthcare
Solutions Inc. (MDRX)
Jim: Well, you know
what, that stock is on the move again…
because the President is deeply
committed to that healthcare reform, of
which MDRX is a big part of it… but I do
not want you to be greedy… you are now
up 33%… using Cramer’s rules, lets take
a little off of the table… I want you to
schnitzel 33% of that… so you are going
to start playing with a little bit more
of the houses money… but I do bless it
from a fundamental side because of the
President.

 |
NAT |
33.90 |
Nordic American Tanker (NAT)
Jim: I think you did
not, I mean that I need to double check
it, I do not believe that you got the
dividend… but I am going to double check
with our staff, I do not believe that
you got it… I will say this, that
Herbjorn has put up a spirited defense,
of which we join him… remember, we did a
full outrage saying that people who are
angry with him are wrong… given the fact
that the stock was barely off from where
they announced the secondary… but I
gotta find out what the must own date
was before I say that you got it in the
underwriting… I have got to come back on
that.
|
|
 |
ISIS |
15.39 |
Isis Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
(ISIS)
Jim: It is like Allos
Therapeutic, it is strictly a spec… I
will endorse a spec in this environment,
as opposed to an
Amgen Inc. (AMGN)
or a
Celgene Corporation (CELG*),
which are not spec… I think ISIS is a
legitimate spec… and I would buy the
stock because I think that we are in a
very, very strong market.
