Q:
Jim,
A big old booyah from the Granite State, Hooksett, NH. A friend of mine turned me on to your show about six weeks ago and thanks to my DVR, I have not missed a single episode. I’ve been in Mattel for 18 months now and I am within eight points of getting back to even. Should I stay the course and break even or should I take my lumps now and just move on? Thank you very much for the most entertaining stock education in my life!
Sincerely, Bruce
Jim: Thank you for understanding Bruce, that is what I am trying to do… I have to entertain to get people to be educated… now, you have to ask yourself first, why did I buy Mattel? Did I buy it over long term because I believe that kids are increasingly going to go back to that kind of toy? Did I buy it because of Barbie? Because what I am going to tell you is, is that it is not as good as
Hasbro Inc. (HAS)?… and if Hasbro pulls back, I would rather have you sell Mattel and be in Hasbro… but Mattel is not a bad stock… I am surprised that it fell as much as it did, frankly.

Q:
Booyah!
My portfolio was down 10% in January due to GAGA and is making me go "wah wah." Should I get out until the big boys are done with their selling?
Thanks, John in CA
Jim: Here, this is in reference to Google-Apple, Google-Apple, I bought Apple during this period for
my charitable trust,
ActionAlertsPlus.com, so I obviously do not think that it is time to exit Apple… I did downgrade my price target for
Google (GOOG), because I did not foresee the fight that it would have with the Chinese government… which to me has been a true negative… so I cannot like Google as much as I did, I do like Apple every bit as much… and I was very honest about that, I did not see the China thing coming… it is a fact change, change the story.

Atmel Corporation (ATML)
Q:
Cramer,
This is kind of interesting, if not funny. There is a town called Cramerton in North Carolina. That said, what do you think about Atmel Corp.? This company designs and manufactures microcontrollers and radio frequency components.
Jerry
Jim: I am not sure that Cramerton necessarily segments to Atmel... I went out to see Atmel one time… I do not like Atmel as much as
Skyworks Solutions Inc. (SWKS), which has had a very consistent record… and is in the same niche as Atmel, in terms of being a components supplier… so why don’t you do Skyworks Solutions?

NUE |

Nucor (NUE)
Q:
Booyah Jim,
You have been very bullish with Nucor because of the dividend and the strong possibility of strong steel demand with an economic recovery. However, with the recent sell off of steel, I was wondering if I made the smart move when I pulled the trigger at $39 per share in search for stocks with stronger yield support.
Brandon from CA
Jim: I reiterate that Dan DiMicco, who runs the best steel company in the world, by the way... it is a place that has delivered consistently… is doing the best job in a situation where the Chinese are not being our friends… and where there is not infrastructure build out done by the government… I would stick with Dan DiMicco, and I would stick with Nucor.
