Ford (F)
F - Too speculative for this guy!
Too speculative. I cannot get behind
Ford because I'm too concerned about it.
I would rather, just in terms of
speculative names, actually rather own a
National City Corporation
(NCC)
or a
KeyCorp (KEY)
more than I would Ford. So be careful
(with) Ford Motor.

PM |

Philip Morris International
(PM)
Yeah, that should be bought. I was
shocked. I mean, that stock got killed.
I mean, the other day, that was down to
$42. That was nonsense! At $44, this
stock represents great value. Now look,
I don't want my kids to smoke... I was
"Man of the Year" from the D.A.R.E.
campaign... Okay, I'm proud of that
stuff... But, yeah, PM yields 5%... It's
got great growth characteristics. I want
to
pull the trigger right
here on PM.

MET |

MetLife (MET)
No. It just had a monster move off that
secondary that it did... and a panic
secondary that was... You've got to wait
for a pullback. Try to wait until it's
under $30. I felt very bad. MET is a
very good company... They were under the
gun... they had a real Kesselschlacht
going by the shorts that were trying to
wipe them out, and they had to go raise
money in a tragic low fashion. You've
got to wait until it pulls back to that
level.
Price target to buy: Wait
until it's under $30.00

I see you on the EZPW, and I raise you
with
Cash America International,

I think that's a better one. That's the
one you ought to swap into.

IBM (IBM)
IBM, in the midst of one of the worst
selloffs in history, reported a great
number. No one seemed to pay attention.
I think IBM is a serious buy. And, by
the way,
Intel (INTC)
just blew out the numbers and had great
profit margins. So maybe we see why tech
had a little bit of a rally... I say
IBM's fine!

NVR |

NVR Inc. (NVR)
I don't know. It is a very good
homebuilder, but the problem is that the
home building industry as we know it is
challenged. I have noticed that, every
time
Toll Brothers (TOL)
comes back to the $20 level, I'd rather
be in that one. This is really
amazing... the homebuilders held the
July 15th low, as did the
KBW Bank Index (^BKX)...
Those are two groups that are strong. I
cannot believe that all these regional
banks went up. It is really a very great
plan that the government put in place to
help the banks. Therefore, I think it
helps the homebuilders.

Firstenergy Corp. (FE)
That's a good one, not a great one. I
prefer
Duke Energy (DUK),
but FE is real good. I prefer
Consolidated Edison Inc.
(ED)
too. So I would go ED and DUK, and swap
out of yours. But it's not going to hurt
you... it's just not going to go up as
much as some of the others. It's a
pretty well-run utility, though, after
being a not-great one.
