MELI |

Mercadolibre, Inc. (MELI)
Jim: I wish I never
mentioned MELI and, even though I pulled
my recommendation from it at least three
times from here, I have to tell you that
speculation in Latin America is a "no"
right here. It's a "no"...
It's not working! If I'm going to
do anything in Latin America, it's going
to be
CPFL Energia S.A. (CPL),
a utility that we learned when we were
at Penn State... Otherwise, no, I say
ix-nay... Even though the
stock has come down... don't buy, don't
buy... oh man, Latin America's bad...

Jim: I'm not big fan
long term... I'm not a big fan.
I think it had nice speculative gains.
What I'm going to encourage you to do is
take half that off the table and let the
rest run. That's what we suggest.
That's always been my strategy in
Real Money... Anybody
who wants to understand the idea of
taking half off and letting the rest
run, it's right in
this book... Now, if you want
to be in fast food, I've got a simple
formula... and that's Jim Skinner
(CEO)...
McDonald's
(MCD*)...
I think that's one of the greatest
companies... If you want to play
the global trend in Chicken, which is
also a great situation, I will put you
in
Yum! Brands (YUM)...
I do prefer MCD to YUM though, because
of the dividend. So, I say you
take half of the money in the WEN, which
is the old Triarc... roll it over to
MCD. You've run the register.
You'll never get back the money.
That's a strategy for you!

Windstream Corporation (WIN)
Jim: You know, the
quarter wasn't that bad... I
read a lot of negative chatter about the
quarter. Come on... the
dividend is safe. They're paying
for you to wait. Management is
good. All of these stocks are
going down, and an 11% yield that I
trust... I say... WIN is
okay.

 |
PKG |
15.34 |
Packaging Corp. of America
(PKG)
Jim: Look, I think
that yield is good news... I've
got to tell you, I think they can pay
it. I know the whole paper group
was down.
Temple-Inland Inc. (TIN)...
for which we said take some off the
table... that was very
disappointing...
International Paper (IP)
has come all the way down. I think
PKG is a do... I think that
dividend is safe. I've recommended
that stock. It has come back down.
I'm re-recommending it right now, right
here. Buy, buy, buy!...

C |
11.82 |
Citigroup (C)
Jim: I have to tell
you,
Wells Fargo (WFC)
just did an equity offering. They
have got this unbelievable acquisition
of
Wachovia Corp. (WB).
Why not go with the company that's the
best-capitalized company in the
industry, after this big equity
offering?.... I am not going
to trash Citigroup here, because I have
become immured to the idea that this
stock is ever going to go below...
I don't think it's going to go to
$8-9... But I need upside... and
the upside I need is a good management
that knows how to bank and take
advantage of all the changes that are
going on, and that management is Wells
Fargo. So I am saying "don't buy,
don't buy" CitiGroup...
Pull the trigger on WFC.
