RPM

11.46

RPM International Inc. (RPM)

Jim:   RPM missed the quarter, but it's got a 7%... well, 6.5% yield. And I've always liked the company. It's just one of these companies that's a quiet, protective coatings... It's always going to be there. It's not leveraged. I think that that's a buy, buy, buy right here.

EK

7.47

Eastman Kodak (EK)

Jim:   Okay... They could be head-to-head with HPQ. HPQ* reported an outstanding quarter after the close, and yet that stock is off 15 points from its high. I say ix-nay on the EK. I need you to go with Hewlett-Packard (HPQ*) which I own for my charitable trust.

HPQ*

35.70

Full Company Name & Jim's Comments:

NKE*

50.32

Nike Inc. (NKE*)

Jim:   NKE had a monster-good quarter. The stock is down very big. I think that's a mistake. DKS reported a decent number last week, although the guidance wasn't that good. I believe that the cheapest of the apparel companies... because, remember, I like to have yield, or companies that are recession-resistant, or trading near cash... is VF Corp. (VFC), which is trading with more than 5% yield. I like that more than more than NKE... sell, sell, sell... and buy VFC.

VFC

46.16

VF Corp. (VFC)

VFC

BGC

10.47

General Cable Corp. (BGC)

Jim:   If you believe that there is a genuine infrastructure program coming of some note, then it is time to buy that incredibly-depressed stock, that's really been driven down by hedge funds gone wild. That's part of the problem.

STLD

6.72

Steel Dynamics Inc. (STLD)

Jim:   Why buy STLD, when I've got United States Steel Corp. (X) all the way near its 52-week low, down about 160 points... and I've got Nucor (NUE) flirting with $30. Both of those I prefer over STLD.

X

27.85

United States Steel Corp. (X)

X

NUE

31.08

Nucor (NUE)

NUE

HON

26.19

Honeywell (HON)

Jim:   Dave Cote, from HON... I think Dave Cote is a total winner. I want to buy HON at $26. As a matter of fact, I'd like to buy it for ActionAlertsPlus.com, my charitable trust. HON's a winner.
