GENZ |
57.70 |
Genzyme Corp. (GENZ)
Jim: I cannot believe
how much GENZ got hammered today. I
mean, that was unbelievable. That stock
was down more than 10%. Sorry. When
times get slow, you average in on these
biotech stocks. You know, we had Henri
Termeer on... he is the guy behind
GENZ... and, you know, we ought to call
him again... because that is just a
ridiculous decline... a ridiculous
decline! I'm a buyer of GENZ right here!

GS* |
65.16 |
Goldman Sachs (GS*)
Jim: Now everyone's
worried about GS' quarter. I have been
saying from the beginning that they're
going to lose $5 a share. Now I'm
starting to hear people say, maybe $2,
maybe $3, maybe $4... I think they lose
$5 a share. I think that then knocks the
tangible book value to the mid-$80s. The
stock is at $67. It's priced as if it is
going to go much, much lower, because
the chart says it's going to go to the
mid-$40s. I want to buy GS. I want to
buy GS after they report. That's the way
I'm planning on doing it. I own them
already for
ActionAlertsPlus.com, my
charitable trust...
it's the first stock I bought. I have
total faith in Lloyd Blankfein (CEO). I
now feel like I'm alone in that. Wow. I
like Goldman Sachs. Take that!

 |
CHK |
15.03 |
Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK)
Jim: No. Stop
wondering. Start selling. Sell, sell,
sell!... I can't believe that they're
issuing here. CHK has become... it has
become a millstone, if not an
albatross... and I really think that
that has gone from being one of the best
to one of the worst natural gas
companies. I refer to APC if I want
natural gas. That's right, I like
Anadarko... I like Jim Hackett (CEO)...
His company... wow, his stock has been
crushed... It makes me even like it
more. It's still got 13 points before it
hits the 52-week low though. CHK... I'm
sorry.

EBS |
22.37 |
Emergent BioSolutions (EBS)
Jim: Oh, it's like
biodefense. No, that's too speculative
for this man. Remember, we've got to
really like... Remember, it's really
defensive, it sells through cash, or is
near cash, or it's got an accidental
high yield, and that one doesn't have
any...

 |
OSK |
5.82 |
Oshkosh Truck Corp. (OSK)
Jim: No, way too
aggressive. That company... I mean,
you're talking about... if you rebuild
the military, which does not seem to be
Obama's style, I still don't want up own
that stock. I'm sorry.

X |
25.61 |
United States Steel Corp.
(X)
Jim: U.S. Steel...
down as much percentage-wise as it was
from 1929 to 1932. I think it's a
travesty, if not a farce... I want to
buy letter X. I think the numbers are
obviously too high but, once again, I
said letter X... if it got below $25,
I'm going to pull the trigger... I feel
Nucor (NUE),
below $28... I understand that steel's
bad. I see from the Baltic Freight Index
that steel's not being shipped. I
recognize that steel's in what may be in
a serious recession. But I think that,
if you buy letter X and you put it
away... you stay tuned... I think you're
going to make some money. It may take 18
months, but I'm not a quitter on letter
X.
Price target to buy X: Under
$25.00
