Full Company Name & Jim's Comments:

IBM

82.60

IBM (IBM)

Jim:   I want to own IBM... I think IBM has done a lot of great things over the years. I believe that what's happened with IBM is that they really become a service company. And I think they're darn good at it. So IBM suits me here... the stock is at $82... It wouldn't surprise me to see the stock at $92 by the end of the year. That's what I call an endorsement.

NOK

15.22

Nokia (NOK)

Jim:   Now, NOK has a 5% yield, so I'm not worried about that... Here's the issue... you may have to wait 18 months to get the next 2 to 3 points on NOK. I do not want you to trade it. I think you should own it for the dividend. I do not like the cellphone stocks right here, but you get paid to wait, and you're up on it... Let's hold onto it, but don't buy more.

AZO

128.62

AutoZone Inc. (AZO)

Jim:   Well, you know, AZO is an intriguing name... Pep Boys looks like it's in real trouble... AZO does aftermarket... I believe that people are going to have to hold their cars longer... The stock has had a real ramp here, so I don't necessarily want to touch it. I have been recommending auto aftermarket, Monro Muffler Brake Inc. (MNRO), up $1.39 today, but still down 20% from its 52-week high... I'd rather see you in Monro than in AZO... buy, buy, buy...

GD

54.29

General Dynamics (GD)

Jim:   GD is down a huge amount because people feel that their airplanes... that people are going to cut back on their airplanes, particularly when they raked all those (auto) executives over the coals, about their corporate jets... I believe that, if you want a pure defense play, I would rather see you in Lockheed Martin (LMT) or, even better, Northrop Grumman (NOC), which is an accidentally high yielder at 4%... All that said, what we have been recommending, because Obama does not seem to be as committed to things I like, in terms of big defense... we been recommending AeroVironment, Inc. (AVAV), which has been a huge win... so let's press our bet, and keep buying that one... Boy, that's been an unbelievable win since we brought that up, in a tough market.

DSX

11.25

Diana Shipping (DSX)

Jim:   No man... I've already committed... it's Nordic American Tanker (NAT)... I feel terrific about that stock. If you going to go down the next step, it's going to be Frontline Ltd. (FRO)... I noticed that the Baltic Freight Index has bottomed... I don't know if you have... it's been four straight days... what that means is that China is coming back online... so you can buy NAT or FRO... Ix-nay on the DSX...

EP

7.26

El Paso (EP)

Jim:   I am shocked that that stock is this low. I can't believe it hasn't rallied with the other natural gas plays, like a CHK, or an APC, or an APA... It did do a huge bond deal, where they paid a fortune for it... so I think that people are perplexed at how high they had to borrow. I would do this... if you like natural gas, I am going to send you to James Hackett at Anadarko Petroleum (APC), which is the cheapest and has the most are run...
