GILD* |
47.87 |
Gilead Sciences Inc.
(GILD*)
Jim: Okay, I own
Gilead for
ActionAlertsPlus.com, my
charitable trust... I
do not believe... I'm going to be really
clear about it... I do not believe that
is a takeover target in any way. I like
it because of some reasons that I
outlined in New York magazine recently,
which is that it's got a terrific
anti-AIDS portfolio, and I think Obama
is really going to make a big, big push
on making... to really try to wipe out
AIDS in this country, of which Gilead
has got the answer. That's why I think,
even though the stock was up nicely
today, I believe... wow, it was up
3.5%... but I still think it's very,
very cheap under $50.
Price target to buy: Under $50.00

 |
SKX |
11.15 |
Skechers USA Inc. (SKX)
Jim: Well, I've got
to tell you... I'm not a big fan of
Skechers, but I don't want to just go
out on a limb and tell you to go buy
Nike, because what will happen, if I
tell you to buy Nike, they are about to
report, and they might disappoint. Let's
see how Nike does, and then we'll make a
determination, and maybe even do a
segment about Nike rather than
Skechers...

 |
PFG |
20.60 |
Principal Financial Group
Inc. (PFG)
Jim: The stock is
moving up. I want to know... I'm
addressing this directly to the Goldman
Sachs analyst... who panicked me and a
lot of other people in PFG... Could the
Goldman Sachs analyst please tell us
whether all the negatives that he said
that we used in the Sell Block are true
still... If that's the case, then I do
not want to own PFG, and I want to take
a chance to sell about three dollars...
It's Goldman Sachs that put the scare of
living death and everybody, and he's got
a come out and speak for it.

GNK |
14.99 |
Genco Shipping & Trading Ltd.
(GNK)
Jim: Actually, I am
not... I mean, Genco, I like the
management... we had them on the show.
But you know my rules here... I am
recommending oil tanker,
Nordic American Tanker (NAT)...
and that's Herb Jorn was doing a
fabulous job... and, because of the
Baltic Freight Index has definitely
bottomed... I am saying, unequivocally,
definitely bottomed... it hit the
$600's... now it's $800... I want
Frontline Ltd. (FRO).
I was only recommending NAT, until the
Baltic Freight Index bottomed. And, now
that that has bottomed, I want to own
FRO too.

JNJ* |
59.60 |
Johnson & Johnson (JNJ*)
Jim: Alright, I want
to make this point... J&J has been under
a huge amount of pressure. I own it for
ActionAlertsPlus.com, my
charitable trust... I
have not been able to buy any, because
I've been frozen... I think, under $60,
this is terrific. Why were people
worried about it?... Because of the
strong dollar... The strong dollar is no
longer the case... the dollar is in bear
market mode... That is ideal for J&J...
Raw costs for J&J are coming down. Under
$60, I think this is one of the great,
great buys that you going to find, and
that is unqualified.
Price target to buy JNJ*: Under
$60.00

 |
UPS |
52.64 |
United Parcel Service, Inc.
(UPS)
Jim: Problematic
because of what FedEx reported... I have
to tell you... I recently shipped my
daughter's goalie bag out to Indio,
California... I had a $100 fuel
surcharge... Man, they must be making
money on that... And I think that UPS is
inexpensive, but I don't see a bountiful
Christmas coming for them. Let's stay
away. I am kind of surprised that Amazon
does go up every single day...
|
|
 |
NFLX |
28.78 |
Netflix, Inc. (NFLX)
Jim: I have never
been right about Netflix... I have liked
it, and then it got absolutely killed. I
continued to like it... why? Because
everyone I know likes the service...
It's one of those things where I feel
like I'm not a good call on it... It's
better to just admit that I'm not a good
call on Netflix...

 |
JRCC |
13.54 |
James River Coal Co. (JRCC)
Jim: Well, I believe
that China is coming back... which means
you should buy
Peabody Energy Corp. (BTU).
Now, obviously, President-elect Obama
does not seem to be a big fan of coal,
and I know that, because I have a keen
eye for the obvious... I do believe that
I like
Bucyrus
(BUCY)
and
Joy Global (JOYG),
because we've checked in with them and I
think they're doing well. But, if you
want to play a coal play, and you want
China, which is what all the Baltic dry
freight is saying... then you need to
buy BTU, which I will go out bullish on
here, because I believe the Baltic
Freight Index has bottomed.
